G'day folks...I got home the other night and my wife had been to the post office and picked up my Greybeard(frequences this site and Ozbow) 2 piece Longbow that I have had ordered since September...
When I was looking for a Longbow I wanted a 2 piece sleeve system from an Australian Bower and the workmanship and appearance of this bow is fantastic and after having a few shots today it shoots as good as it looks, just a shame about the archer but with some time spent on tunning arrows and practicing I am sure it will all come together...No pic's as yet but I will get them up for all to see...

Spec's...
64" unstrung
53#@28
Handle section...Spotted Gum core, vertical grain Zebrano
Limbs...Zebrano,Spotted Gum and vertical grain Hard Rock Maple with clear glass.
Tip Overlays...Spotted Gum
Handle Wrap...Sheep Hide..

Having only emailed Daryl with the weight and length I was after and wanting clear glass instead of black the above timber combinations look great and the time he has put into this bow to make it look like it does is really appreciated considering I wasn't too fussy about the timbers that were used...Any one looking for a custom Longbow from an Australian Bower should put Daryl on there list of bows to check out...

Gday Sparra,Ive seen one of greybeards bows when we were doing archery golf up at the hunter and it was 40# and was consistently outcasting my 60# recurve and a 60# longbow every single shot.
Buggered if I know how but it was.
Ill like to see the pics when you get a chance.
