FS: Black palm bow staves.

Hi all, long-time reader, first time poster...
I have a few excess lengths of Black palm wood. Approx. 190cm long X 5cm X 3cm. They are of high density and quality so are perfect for making your own longbow etc, or even as laminates.

Sorry folks, I'm in Cairns (nth qld) but am willing to sends these anywhere if you cover postage.

I have six lengths of the palm wood left. I wanted $50 each for them but would let all 6 go for $250 as I need them gone soon (heading overseas). They were split from a very old tree so the useable wood runs well beyond the entire length. Also, they are still green (cut 3 weeks ago) so they still need to be dried before working. I have found that splitting the tree before drying has no ill effects on the palm timber as a bow wood (unlike other timbers I know), it just speeds up drying. I have painted the ends with sealant however.
PS. Just make me an offer as they will be no good to anyone sitting in my shed for the next 2 years...
