In Qld we get a conditional reg. Restricted to designated area, restricted to a designated route, restricted to loading and unloading tasks.

in the nt they can be registered as special vehicle to use along the sides of roads and cross the road but have only seen goverment quads with it, they use them to pick up rubbish along the hwys around darwin!

I know the one we had at my old work was registered (weed spraying) and we where allowed to ride it on the side of the road, but im pretty sure this was a commercial rego.

Both of ours are registered as tractors which is just primary producers reg.
Not sure if anyone can get one registered for primary producing though.

I drove past a ranger up the bush on monday on one of ours and they just waved. With primary producers reg you can take them anywhere except main roads and highways.
