I just purchased a new range finder. I got a Nikon 440 in real tree camo finish. It is a great little unit but the best thing was the price.
I got it from the US at http://theopticzone.com/scopes.aspx . With the Aussie Dollar the way it is at the moment I can highly recommend shopping over seas. Their communication was excellent and the delivery was fast.:D
Despite my efforts I could not find a competitive price in OZ.:(

Dare I say it....... E-Bay. New, in the box, with pouch and lanyard.

I was looking at similar rates on Amazon, (etc). Mind you, alot are factory refurbished units, meaning they may have a faint scratch or something. Nothing to really worry about. I guess alot of people bought them as golf rangefinders, and returned them when they weren't happy. I don't know.

Still, $200 extra in my pocket is $200 extra I can put toward my bow. (.......hopefully this weekend, if I can get to the city in time:D)

I don't know about links, but quite a few aussie bow shops, and other optical suppliers I've visited on the net average around $400 - $450.

Gecko's have a good price at $350 though. I didn't see that before.

-EDIT- One afterthought is that the Camo finish is dearer too. I just got the plain green.

The unit will do both meters and yards but will only display a reading in the one you set as the default.

Cheers Tim

I got the Niko Pro Staff 440 in Realtree camo for myself for xmas...of course. From the opticzone.

$238 in Australia to my door. Excellent little unit simple and easy to use ranging from 10 - 437 yards, with half yard accuracy.

There an 8x20 power monocular, water proof etc etc and Im impressed with it so far.

cheers Bowpig

We have changed distributors and can now offer excellent prices on Busnell optics (Binoculars, Range Finders and Spotting Scopes) that will rival the U.S.

Should do the job, and if not... Oh well. :)
