I thought I would invite my mate matt over for a few days to see if we could whistle in some foxes, we did it over and over again in different areas but still didn’t get any thing to come in, so we thought we would try to get some hares seeing as it was quite windy, but it was really dry up in the forest, making it very hard to put on a good stalk, we spotted over ten different hares, me and matt both taking shots at them up to 35 metres away but just falling short or putting them just over there heads and one arrow hitting a log in front of the hares chest and one of my shots going in between the its legs!, we also spotted a few fallow deer with some new borns!!, we kept on walking spotting a few rabbits and even a fully black one!, after nearly 6 straight hours not including the other days of bow hunting matt manage to get a good clear shot on a rabbit hiding under a log at 20m the shot was pretty much perfect, going through its spine and exiting through its chest, finally we felt like we had achieved something!
Heres some pics, I was the camera man for the trip…
