Mate, I just wash my stuff with the rest of the laundry. Wrong wind will give you away every time no matter what you wash them in, as for UV, it possibly gives me away, thats why I try not to be seen even when dressed in 3D gear

I have not tried scent blocker type camo, even this stuff will not hide the smell of your breath unless you use a carbon mouth shield as well.

Dale.

whatever you do dont use any type of fluro laundry detergent,I hand wash mine with hot water and a small amount of sunlight soap flakes, you can buy proper scentloc wash, but its a bit exy,I use spray on scent suppressent before I hunt, see your local archery shop for info

I wash my hunting clothes in the normal wash all the time. About the only I don't do when I hunt is use deodorant. I have read that some people in the states are suing scentlock clothing as they say that it is a farce and gives no advantage when hunting.

Bi-carb :)

Bi-carb soda as others have said works. But i am also in the conclusion that if the game game smell you you are in the wrong wind anyway. The only good thing about the bi-carb is the UV for the fluro's.

Warm water hand wash as well,
when i pack them back in my kit i'll also chuck in a handfull of gum or tea tree leaves to try and give them a bush smell,
Dunno if it works or not but it makes me feel better!!!

Whatever detergent my wife uses, keep the wind to your face and move in shadows where possible. The amount I sweat when I walk up mountains the cloths will stink of human pretty fast.:)

As for ultra violet, there may be something to it but I have not been in many situations where I thought "how did he see me".

Hand wash with Lux flakes, when dry I put them into a rubbish size bag to keep them clean of other smells.
A clean hunter with clean clothes is harder to smell than a dirty one.
A good example of this is find a fresh dead animal carcuss and unless you are directly down wind you won't smell it but give it a few days to smell up a bit and if you get in close proximity to it you can smell it from most directions due to the stink.
Imagine how much we must stink to animals if not clean they dont need any help in smelling us as it is.

Had a big problem with new ASAT gear stinking a stinky type of stink. Few bashes of the bi-carb and now no worries.

Lux is the go, or roll yourself and clothes up in a stinking old billy. That smell should cover any human smells.

I used Sunlight soap for years, but I now use some scent free (USA) detergent that I bought from Eagle Archery.
I also use a tumble hand washer that I bought from a camping store, Its not used for anything else except my camo's.

I use sportswash for my camo, more for the UV factor than for scent control.

Go the Bi-Carb. Cleans them perfectly and leaves no laundry/deodorant smell.

I use sunlight soap flakes. I tested it on starlings when i was birds scaring as these buggers have good eyes on them. When i use normal washing powder there where much more aware of me. I then used sunlight soapflakes and i had more success, that must of cut down the UV glare bounching off me.

i use lux more for the UV..as soon as you touch you clothes you have sented them. you just have to sit and watch game walk over your boot marks to see how well they can pick up the sent in your boot print let alone the sweat alone the sent your are letting off through your skin etc.
