Hey guys, first time at posting a photo so I hope it works.
I managed to get on to a new property on saturday that is over run with goats. Did a bit of walking and after getting busted a few times by nannies I managed to get this nice billy in an ambush at 6m. I was as low as I could get behind a log while keeping my bow in front of my face, when he spotted me. I thought it was all over but slowly drew my hoyt, and when he snorted, took two steps and stood quartering away I thought it was too good to be true, and sent an arrow through him. He only ran 40m and died under a big gum tree. He was a reasonably large bodied goat and is my first trophy class animal, going 95 5/8 dp.
I saw over a hundred goats on the short hunt, many billies having better horns than this fella, so I will be heading out again this saturday to have a crack at another one, I will keep you guys updated.
