Been out a few times over the last few weeks mostly in the evenings and have had some form of success nearly everytime with the Autumn Oak Widow doing its job well.

Thanks fella's. Like a few of you I am hoping that a Fallow and maybe a Red will make an appearance in a photo this season (downed that is). Certainly enjoying the success and practice on the game that Summer has offered so far.
Bring on the real Autumn!

Good to see you getting into the game Tommo, thanks for posting the pictures...Glenn...
Had another after work session on the Foxes tonight. I was on a new property and despite covering alot of ground in damp conditions I barely raised a whisker until right on dark at my last stand.
I'd worked the predator call hard for a few minutes and soon after spotted what looked like a reasonable sized fox coming in. It leapt over tussocks and sped up when I then started to blow on the button whistle. Daylight was all but gone and I realised, as he neared, that he was only a young Fox which looked bigger at a distance in the half light.
I stopped calling and he slowed right down but kept on coming in till when at twelve metres I started to draw and then the brakes went on. Not sure of the movement the Fox turned ready to bolt but when broadside hesitated and stopped. This was right on cue as my anchor was reached, followed by a good release and the Snuffer tipped arrow zapped him right behind the onside front leg, exited and pulled up in the dirt. A ten metre tumbling dash ended the evenings main event.

Not a big fox by any means but it is a great feeling when it all comes together and you pull off the shot that you wanted perfectly. A great way to finish this months hunting off.
