Trophy Bowhunts

Rick & Branden spent a week out west chasing a few goats. Branden being his second trip with me and just learning to hunt. Rick getting back into hunting going Trad. I was backing up with the Widow.
We had an eventfull week with I think the Goats having come out on top given the numbers and good quality heads we saw. Up to 38inches in a couple of cases. The elusive 40inch boys stayed away.
The country was looking far better than last trip after easter. They have had good rain and the country was green, I havn't seen it like that for over 5 years so it was good to see. The hogs were scarce but we managed to knock over 2 and sighted a ripper Boar but he was to quick for us.
We accounted for 9 Goats & 2 Boars. The best Goat going 103 points and Branden's boar only had 1 tusk.
Rick took 4 Goats
Branden 2 Goats and 1 Boar
Mick 3 Goats and 1 Boar (1 for a Cape & 1 for Skin)
The weather was absolutely fabulous with cool night down to 10c and days up to 27c. We missed the cold change from the week before.
So here are a few pic's..
