Went for a stroll today and knocked over a few Bunnies, the highlight of the day was this Ginger Meg's look-a-like.
Thought you might like to see him.

Im super jealous, I have shot many hundreds of rabbits but never killed a coloured one. Rather shoot a black or white or any coloured bunny than a trophy class goat!!!!!!!!!!! Well done champ...

Good stuff Grant, i've got a patch up here where there is always 1 or 2 ginger bunnies getting around, i think its in the blood line now, 90% of them are always around the one burrow and have been for a few years now.
Great work anyway.

Nice bunny.

I nailed one the same colour not long back, it was the first couloured bunny I have seen in ages. It was a good chest shot at 30m with an adder point but the little bugger made it to its hole. How they get up and run after an impact like that I have no idea.

Where's these new bunny smashers Howie?

Every year there are a couple warrens around here that get a heap of white rabbits coming through. I mean you would see a dozen pure white rabbits sitting out on top of the holes. The predators clean them up pretty quick though. I want to tan a few coloured rabbit skins when i get them. i recon they would look as good as anything as a trophy. I have shot a black rabbit but thats about it.

Well done on the ginger one not many of them about this way.

Here's one i passed up 2 years ago while i was waiting in a tree above the warren. Thought i'd leave the white ones to breed up :( wish i haddn't now they dissapeared anyway.

Friends of mine in S.A Reckon that it is a fair sign that the rabbits are breeding up again when you see a light coloured one like that. You only tend to see one when the numbers are up. Must be a recessive gene. I have never seen an albino one though. But the same mate showed me a pure white fox skin that he took 20 years ago. It looked unreal!

Puk,
Here's a photo I cut out of the local paper over twenty years ago of some blokes who shot this white fox while spotlighting one night.
Oh how things have changed, hunting was an acceptable pastime to the public, I couldn't imagine seeing something like this in the paper again without an uproar!!!
