Last Minute Hunt!

well you know that feeling when you are board at home and when you think of somthing to do you think HUNTING lol osunds good well this happend to me this arvo at the last minute so after a call was made and dad agreed to drop me off and pick me up i wa son my way carrying mynew scotch preditor calller in hope of bringin in some foxes
i got there and hoped the fence to see the dozen or so bunnys flee
allways sends a shiver up your spine as soon as you get set up and see game runnin around but any way
after about 20mins of walking i came to a little bush no more then 10m away and could see 2 ears happily swaying around in the air i ducked down nocked an arrow with an adder head on it and stalked in to about 3m lol and let him have it and he was mine damm these adder heads get messy lol

after afew stalks and afew whistles with out luck i moved up a long a fence line with is good for a bunny or 2 and i spotted a little fella sittin on his burrow and let him have it from about 7m here he is once again check out the damage these adders do sorry if its abit graphic

after that i moved off to a spot that i have wanted to try for a fox but have never had time to get there but i still had a good 3 hours left so i off i went once i got there i put my face mask on and got readywith arra on the string and started whistling within 30seconds i had a nice 3/4 fox cub cumin at me he stopped at 30m and sniffed the air and i released the arrow............................................. ..............................

i watched the arrow cover the distance in a blur to see the arrow make contact with a blackberry bush branch and have the arrow fly strait pass the fox and into the scrub the fox did a u bolt and was gone i clipped another arrow on and kept whsitling and in another 30 seconds there was another cub coming in but he stopped at 40m and sat down and looked at me trying to figure out what i was i settled the 40m pin well tryed to a had a savere case of buck fever i released the arrow and watched it as it literally shaved his right shoulder and he was gone i thought i had hit him good but went over to my arrow to find hair on the ground and hair under my arrow fletches grrr
i headed in to the scrub and came across the arrow that bounced off the blackberries so i put that in the quiver then set my self up and go the scotch caller out after about 1 min i had a full grown fox sitting stairing at me from 40m he sat and staired for about 5 mins i tryed the scotch caller the button whistle and the tenterfield but he wasnt coming closer he was interested but could figure out what i was i wanted to take a shot but there was cows about 50m behind him and im not taking that risk so i let him walk
i then went and took some anger out on these little fellas as you can see plenty of em

and manage to find a dumb one squating in the grass and i love these types of shots you have all the time in the world so i settled and was going for a head shot from about 25m but manged to pull off a neck shot with an adder

after that it was getting late so i called dad and he was there to pic me up within 15mins
fun but frastrating hunt

thanks howie my news goal are to take a sambar
take 10 foxes i have shot 5 so far but only recovered 2
and take 2 bunnys with one arra
by the end of this yr lol
