gday guys i bought some new shafts and hade to melt the glue in the shaft and pull the insert out then cut them down my only problem nowis is that the inserts are buggered it melted the trhead i think and there a 2212 and i rang about 6 archery shops and not one had one so in the end a lady from the shop said to try 2213s with plenty of glue they should be fine just wondering if this will work because the 2212s were a tight fit so the 2213s should be perfect just a tad loose
so will it work

Mate if I read your post right, and you are putting 2213 inserts in 2212 shafts, they probably won't fit because they will be larger in diameter.

However, if you are using 2212 inserts in 2213 shafts, then they should be fine.

Cheers,

Jase.

The 2213 shaft size is 22 sixty fourths outside diamatre, 13 thousandth of an inch tube wall thickness.

A 2212 is the same outside diametre, 12 thousandth of an inch tube wall thickness.

The internal diametre of the 2212 should be larger than the 2213 because its wall thickness is less.

A 2213 insert should fit inside the 2212. Loosely.

If you have glue in your insert threads, it may be possible to retap and clean them out using an 8 guage 32 threads per inch thread tap.
