hi guys i was wondering if someone could give me some help
i have been paper tuning my bow and have found some spine difference with
the two different arrows that i shoot
the shafts are= ct45/70 rhinos (came with bow)@28.5"(just long enough)
= easton axis fmj 340 @3o"
the bow is bowtech guardian on 70# @29"draw
when paper tuned to the fmj's the WB rest is moved over well left of centre of the bow and it shoots well with the fmjs from ten out to 50m
but the CT rhinos group to the right at this setting

when paper tuned to the rhinos the rest sits more to the center(looks better to me)
but the fmj's group to the left
i'm guessing that the rhinos are the right spine but they are a little short(for my liking)
would my fmjs be under spined or over spined?
i could shorten them by an inch if they needed to be stiffend up a bit
any help would be great thanks

G'day bud, on the assumption your using 125gr tips..having run the numbers the Rhinos @28.5 come up weak...you need to reduce your draw weight to 65# and your tip weight to 100gr..The Axis however appear to be good for your set up! Remember paper tuning is not the be all and end all and is VERY form specific..the slightest change in grip or anchor and you will come up with different tear patterns.... cheers...;)

I tend to rely on group and walk back testing for peace of mind. I want to know that the arrows are flying consistantly at various ranges rather that at a given point in time. Particular attention being paid to 20m and 30m mark.
