Usually have Friday off and go hunting. Woke up pretty doughey this morning and thought about having a rest day. Come 10am I was itchy and within the hour I was parking the 4wd on the plateau. Walked 500 yards before I located the mob, they seemed settled so I swung back and around to get the wind right. I was sitting on a huge rock looking down on about 25 goats of assorted sized, ranged the billy I was after, set the video up. Waiting only a short time, he rose from his bed and turned perfectly broadside, the distance was 38 yards. The wind gusts coming up from the valley floor were shocking and I couldn't keep the sight pins on his chest. Eventually they wandered off, not presenting the shot I wanted. The next mob was feeding along the plateau and after playing a cat and mouse game with them and the wind I did a straight in stalk, had probaly 50 goats to my left about 150 yards away and 20 goats to my right, their heads down and feeding away from me. The billies were in front of me and I did a direct walk straight to them and had a nice 30 inch model within 13 yards. Set the camera up and settling into the shot he turned and looked straight at me, the pin rested on his leg and I cut the shot. Within 10 yards he was down with a 3 blader thru his chest. The next stalk was a breeze as the billy was resting in the shade of a tree and not another goat with several hundred yards. A large rock and the constant uphill wind covered my approach, the 20 yard shot was on the money and I was rewarded with a good representitive 33 inch billy. There were more goats in the valley systems surrounding me, but I was more than happy with the days events. Jack - could you add pics please. Happy hunting everyone

I found the Ross to be a fantastic hunting bow and was lined up to purchase a new Cardiac. On the archery grape vine I heard good things about the Marquis and having recently sold the Ross I thought I would give it a try.
I would not hesitate to buy either brand, giving them both the thumbs up. Both bows are smooth to draw, comfortable in the hand, accurate and a pleasure to shoot. The Marquis is only about 6 goats, 4 foxes and 14 bunnies old, but going real strong, LOL. Both bows are winners IMO....Howie
