G'day guys..

After shooting a mates bow, his peep was much easier to align than mine. Mainly from the perspective of looking through it to see the sight was smaller so I could guage the gap ring between them.

However, on mine, they seem to be exactly the same size when I look through. I recently changed from a wrist r/aid to a thumb trigger which I had to move my peep down about 1.5". I thought this might have helped but alas, the peep is still the same size as the sight.

As far as the guy at the local range said, that's the biggest I can get. Unsure of the exact size/make/model of it, but should I really look for a larger peep to get a better gap ring ?

I'm shooting ok with it, but I can't guaruntee that I am looking "true" through the peep/sight when I shoot. I know it would greatly help me to finely adjust my sight.

Any suggestions welcome.

Cheers
:)

Mmmm....depends...generally a smaller peep is better for target and a larger peep more suited towards hunting. If your query relates to the latter, the peep should be large enough to fully frame your sight housing whilst still enabling you to see the bubble to combat canting the bow and the larger the peep the more light. As such, I use a "fletcher" true peep in the large size....cheers...;)

If you are using a Tru Peep you can drill it out to suit your sight aperture.

I have just installed a 1/4" Meta peep on my bow and it aligns well with my G5 LE sight on a 34.5" ATA @ 28.5" D/L bow.
