I want to achieve my Maximum FPS or IBO speed,
My current bow is a
Reflex Bighorn Hunter 2007 Set at 70# with a draw length of 28"

In order for me to obtain maximum FPS,
What arrows can i use,
and What weight tips can i use.

I've tried a few differnts i find with heaver tips my shots tend to lob,

IBO Speed is a set number of parameters to basically cross reference bows.

IBO is 70# 30"draw and a 350 grain arrow.

Your arrow weight should not go lower than 5 grains per pound as this voids your bow warranty if it is fact new.

What are you utilising the bow for predominantly?

My Bow basically for Hunting,
Rabbits, Foxes, Etc.
How ever I'm very concerned about the speed of my arrow.
I would prefer to have a quick Arrow then a arrow that lobs from 0 - 30 meters.

Mmm OK...just a wild guess but I reackon that a 70# bow should just be about enough to knock over bunnies & foxes...:confused:....but seriously be more concerned with your accuracy.. a fast miss is still a miss !!

Gold Tip XT Hunters cut to 28" with fletches, nock and 100gr broadhead will come in at 350gr and are relatively cheap at $80-90 per dozen.

Remember the IBO standard only specifies an arrow weight to bow poundage ratio. The manufacturers take a lot of liberties in their tests to improve the IBO speed of their bows. They test the bow without any sort of silencing and often with no nocks to slow the string down and sometimes even use an arrow with no fletching on it to reduce drag. None of this is prohibited in an IBO test. Therefore even with the correct weight arrow, you may find it difficult if not impossible to achieve the same speeds as they claim but at least you will know you're getting the maximum safe speed you can from your setup. Just don't be surprised if it's not as fast as their recorded IBO speed.

Im shooting 550g arrows from my 70# bow, shoots flat to 20m and Im shooting of the second pin at 30m. I recon I could get away with just the 20m pin 99% of the time. I have know idear how fast the arrows are moving and I dont care as nothing ive pointed it at so far has lived to complain about my arrow speed.:P
