trad VS hi- tech????

wat are your thoughts on both disiplines of our sport?? i love my compounds for the fact that i know unless i stuff the release or misjudge the distance my shot will be on the money, but of late i have got the trad bug. the simplicity is great.... u carry a stick with a string and a quiver full of arrows through the bush u see your game, u stalk into suitable shoting distance ( alot closer with the curve than the comp for me) u pick your spot draw back to the corner of your mouth pause for a sec then release. simplicity!!!

Mate i just love the feeling of being able to take game by skill alone and without sights and all the high tek stuff just like people have been doing for thousands of years.

I love the trad too but I just cant get ovet the pin point accuracy I get with the compound, just like you said.
How have you been going? Smashed anything with your new curve?

For me it has always been trad gear for over 30 years now except for a short experience with a compound bow, didn't like it at all and put the skids under that one real quick and went back to my longbows and recurves. These days I make all of bows, just can't replace the feeling when I take game with equipment I have made myself. Having said that though the compound bow has brought and kept a lot of people in our sport, so that's a good thing eh...Glenn...
