hey guys

howie and i were talking about something to keep the foxes entertained when they come in close.
does anyone know where one can get a flapping bird thingy or whatever. i have heard putting a feather on a stick and letting it blow in the wind keeps them occupied. any other ideas to keep them distracted when they come in.

thanks guys

I know when i have been duck shooting that the hawks love to smash up my fold up decoys, one even grabed the thing and tried to fly away with it!. these have a photo finish on them. No idea if they would work on a fox but i have been watching some clips on you tube and some dudes have like a fluffy rabbit decoy set up on a stick.

Oi just go to the abc shop and get a Basil Brush doll, put lipstick and makeup on it and peg it out 20 metres out from where you are. If a boy fox comes in he will try to chat it up and if a girl fox comes in she will get jealous cause it has something she wants and will try to flog it. YOu will have all day to smash them. If nothing comes in then it becomes a cheap 3d target..

i know that you can attract birds of prey by lighting a fire, tossing green leaves on it, tying a hankie to a stick and twirling it above your head. if you got a multi-coloured hankie it may work for foxes. give it a go i suppose and post resultes ay.Jake
