Just wondering what program you people use to host your piccy's...At the moment I use photobucket but it takes me hours to post up pictures...I upload the into photobucket, then I have to find them, then each photo needs to be edited to fit onto the web(takes about 20m a pic) http://kfdu.com.au/forum/images/smilies/Drogar-Angry(LBG).gif and then I get it onto the website..It takes so long that I usually end up giving up so is it just me not knowing what I am doing or is there an easier way?????
Cheers...Sparra

I use a program called PhotoImpact and I just open the pics in there as a job lot and then use it to size them all to 600 pixels wide, save as, and then just upload them to photobucket. It would take way less than 20 min's to sort out more than a dozen pics and get them on photobucket.

Thanks for that Mick...I worked out if I change my camera settings I can upload them straight from my camera onto the site, the quality suffers a bit but it's heaps easier...

Check out a cool little freeware program called Porta. Its designed to create photo albums but in doing so it resizes and adds a water mark. Very easy.

I use Smugmug to host my website. Cheap as chips, unlimited capacity and super fast uploads. Also, if you are handy with javascript and CSS you can make it look as you please. Direct linking is also very easy.

Heres mine:

Sparra,

I agree with Mick, resize your photo's before you upload. i do mine in Photoshop as i can tweak the colours/sharpness as well. Not the easiest program to use, but can do more things than you can imagine.

I then upload to photobucket.

Cheers

With photobucket the is an option to change to something like 600x400 which is the size i use and then i just throw a description on it and im done, what speed internet are you on shouldn't take 20min a pic takes me about 5 mines for 6 thats with resizing adding descriptions and posting them.

As for programs i use CS3 which is the newest photoshop unless a newer one has come out.
