This a copy of a thread I started on AF but it seems relevant here too.
Looks like Ross Archery have split with G5 and G5 are planning to rebadge and market the unpaid for stock as Quest Archery Q31 and Q33.

It takes a tremendous capitol investment in materials, people and machinery to be able to keep a constant flow of finished parts to a bow company. A few weeks ago the latest investors, who had been helping Ross pay Grace Engineering, completely pulled away from Ross Archery. This has left Grace Engineering/G5 with a tremendous amount of inventory, much of which has been dramatically improved by G5's design team, to sell through our loyal dealer network. Now that this a G5 product line you will see a bow that we are proud of that is Designed to Hunt. I know this won't be enough of an answer for some, but the simple answer is that this was a payment issue. Since we at G5 are bowhunters like you, we look forward to this opportunity to make some great bows now and long into the future.

Since the beginning, Ross Archery, Inc. has worked hard with others in the archery business, putting them in a position to provide quality products at an affordable price. Along the lines, Ross worked with Grace Engineering (Parent Company of G5 Outdoors L.L.C.) to have parts provided, to include the risers for the 31" and 33" Cardiac’s. Without getting into details at this time, Ross Archery, Inc. has decided to take a different path in having the risers and other parts manufactured for the Ross Archery line-up and therefore have parted ways with Grace Engineering due to the high quality standards at Ross Archery, Inc., Ross is moving forward to position themselves with other suppliers in order to meet the demands and quality expectations of its customers. Andy and Angie Ross wanted me to inform you that they will be making an Official Statement here on the forum as early as next week.

One final statement before I end this entry, Ross Archery, Inc. is not being bought out by Grace Engineering or G5 Outdoors L.L.C.

Be interesting to see what improvements G5 can make on an already well built and performing bow. Could end being a cracker with the engineering they have at their hands at G5. Worth a look one would think. Pity about the downfall of Ross though

Let me see, G5 manufacture the Ross risers, Ross don't ante up for them and G5 go okay, we have all this gear, the know how and all the accessories on hand.

The G5 team are strong bowhunters, they need to recoup losses and it all fits. Go G5 I say, Ross have stated they are taking a different tack with suppliers so I am sure it will all work out in the end.

thats the last statement from ross

We are writing this to address some rumors going around the archery industry.. The most frustrating part of this for us is that we are in the right, and would love to show our hand. We believe Grace Engineering/G5 are attempting to put out a bow utilizing Ross Archery designs, parts, and tooling. However at the advice of our legal counsel, we are being asked to not make any details public regarding our lawsuit. We can however say Grace Engineering/G5 are NOT buying Ross Archery.

In regards to the IRS and our misunderstanding of the FET tax, we are in full compliance and have taken the necessary steps to resolve this matter.

Andy and I started Ross Archery 4 years ago, and feel blessed to have been accepted into the archery world. We had a goal of selling a few hundred bows a year, and the hopes of growing the company for our 4 children to take over. We never dreamed at our first ATA show we would be where we are today. Ross Archery has grown beyond a small family business and we are taking the necessary steps to position ourselves for future growth . (Again, not with Grace Engineering/G5).

We thank you all for your support, and please believe the best is yet to come,

Angie and Andy Ross

P.S. Andy wanted me to tell everyone Pick-N-Sick!!"

no g5 should work out a deal with ross, maybe take them to court to get the money, crush the risers into scrap to atleast get something, waited a little longer to see if ross came through but instead they try to make life harder for ross by stealing thier business.

$20's aye. you got a deal.

I can say that I did contact Ross last year for advertising in the mag and they said something along the lines that they were not budgeting for advertising in 2008. Whatever happens over there is between them. People will have the theories based on loyalty to a brand name, but in the end we all know it is the mighty dollar that speaks the loudest. No matter what people my say transpired, we will never know the truth. Also these companies do their homework before getting into anything like this, so it will be interesting to see the final outcome.
