Hi again everyone,

I have a few questions about arrows.

I'm going to get myself a dozen axis' I think. The question I have is about the fletching.

I was wondering what 2" Blazers offer over 4" vanes? Why are they so popular? Also with the Blazers, can you do helical (even though I imagine it would be difficult on such a slim arrow)?

Thanks.

Cheers,

Rich.

IMO 2'' blazers are tougher and they stabilize broadheads better and yes most people shoot blazers with helical.

i wouldn't shoot anything else.

Two advantages are less drama with fletch clearance (although they have a "taller" profile) and less area to get blown around by the wind. Because they are so short helical fletching doesn't take up too much room on thin shafts.

less drag with the blazers but stabilise the bhead as well as the feathers, lighter and tougher and more readily available. Beware of some clearance issues though.

they are tougher, smaller offer the same stearing as 4 or 5in, lighter and look cool

Sweet, thanks for the replies.

Clearance problems eh? How would they work through a Whisker Biscuit?

Thanks again.

they should, blazers work excellently with a whisker bisuit, to my knowledge most hunters that use a whisker bisuit use blazers because they are small and are very tough

cheers

Whisker Biscuit + blazers = awesome combo.
