G'day,

I'm trying to give a few broadheads a little bit of a sharpen...
Problem is that when I do, the blades seem to come out blunter than before.
I've read the tutorials on it on this site, but its not working for some reason.
The heads are Bear "bruin" 140grain 4 blade.
There doesnt seem to be much in the way of substantial metal on them, so I think maybe they are just crappy single-use blades not meant to be sharpened?
They were reasonably sharp out of the packet but just wanted to touch them up a little before use.
I'm using a cheapish sharpening stone from a camping store, but it has worked on the knife I just sharpened so I'm not sure if it is that?

What do you all think?

ive never heard or seen bruin 4 blade heads so i cant comment on it but to "touch" them up befor hunting try useing a ceramic sharpener the ceramic is only good for sharpening, not for re-edgeing give that a shot you mite be plesantly suprised
cheers

With replaceable blades you can touch them up on fine 'grit' stones and such ;)

Generally they are designed to be 'toss away' blades after use, then you put new blades in, but the better grade steel replacable blades re-sharpen nicely :)

I have done it with my Muzzy's and got em back razor sharp!
