He was the co founder and long time president and national exec position holder of the ABA.

Who was Syd Green?


Taken from the ABA website. Part quote.

"Syd was one of the founding members of ABA over 30 years ago, when he was President of the South Queensland Bowhunting Society, one of the organisations that came together to form the ABA.

He was Vice President of the Field Division, National President for many years, National President of the International Field Archery Association, Team Manager to IFAA WFAC's, ABA's delegate to IFAA's World Council, Executive Director of ABA and Editor In Chief of Archery Action Magazine."

It sounds like he was an important man in our sport, and one with the vision and drive to get things started. My condolensces also.

Syd will always have plenty of comments good and bad said about him. A lot of darts were sent Syd's way over the years and Syd took a lot of darts for the actions of other people...Glenn...
