I don't know what the laws for feral hog / boar hunting is in OZ but-

In Texas we are allowed to hunt feral hogs/boar anytime. There is no season. You can hunt them 24/7 by any legal means- rifle, shotgun, bow, crossbow, dogs, trapping - no limit - and yes- you could use night vision equipment if you choose to.

The most popular way to hunt hogs is a night. Many bowhunters have a finger activated switch light screwed into the stabilizer threaded hole on the front of their bow.

And many have green LED- solar powered lights that stay on all night over their hog feeders.

Huntin' HAWGS in the dark is the most fun bowhuntin' you will ever do !!

How do you guys do it in OZ ??

It's also popular to call/hunt coyotes (our version of the dingo) at night in Texas. Texas is also the only state in the US that still hunts mountain lions- also at night.
We refer to coyotes & mountain lions as "varmints" in the US.

I read in a number of posts that many of you belong to "ABA" ?
I assume that means Australian Bowhunters Association ?
Do you have some type of bowhunter education course/test?
