Anybody know where you can get target points of more than 125 grains for woods?

I had heard there was a guy in NSW making heavy brass points up to 200 grains but not had any luck tracking him down.

Three Rivers Archery in the US list standard glue on field points in weights of up to 160 grains, so they are made. I don't know where you could buy them in Australia though.

Ed, I bought some 160 from B/Widow, Kustom King also sell 'em.

If you want to use 'em on wood shafts 11/32" / 23/64" & have dramas getting 'em, another solution ( for practice or bareshafting) .357 or .38 bullet shells :D

You just of melt and pour lead (sinkers) into 'em. Works great, are very good on rabbits & hares, don't skip on the grass like field points, obviously no taper, but that doesn't matter.

If you are going to shoot them into a regulation target, they will do damage due to the fact they don't have point. But on boxes or tussocks etc.....

160grains isn't too bad - I will get some thanks. But still looking for 190grains as I was thinking of using the heavy ribteks for the 100#beast. The arrows need to be heavy enough for the spine that a lighter point doesn't get any FOC balance.

Will ask my cop mates for some shells - thanks Axe :)

get as many of the .38s as I could ever need ofcourse. But .357 is a bit harder, I will let you know if I need any to make the weight - the .357 being a longer shell will make the weight if the 38s don't

3 rivers do have 190 grain points - ordered some and will see soon enough how the arrows fly.
