Sorry to keep asking questions, but i do value the help of the members of this forum and am very appreciative, and hope to one day be half as successful as most of you.
Im using gold stalker carbon arrows with 125grain heads. There is a number on the arrow that reads (2219). Im not sure what it means, but i presume its a measurement of some kind.
Im using mainly judo heads when chasing rabbits at the moment. Im going to get some of howies varmint busters when i get a bit more accurate.

Now, when i fire at a rabbit, say 30-40 yards away, the rabbit hears the bow go, and often ducks, or moves just before the arrow hits. This all takes place in a split second. The rabbits have bloody good reflexes.
Should i be using some kind of lighter arrow to go faster? Is there a lighter arrow? Do blunts, like the judo head slow the arrow down? Or do i just have to anticipate which way the rabbit is going to move and aim slightly to the side?
Can any of you more experienced bowhunters help me out with this one? Thanks again for all your help.

40 yards. Most of my successful shots at bunnies are under 30, closer to 20. The judos whisle a bit and the longer shots give them more time to react. Try getting in closer. Or you could try a faster set up. My xforce throws them out fast enough for 40+ yd shots, but my acuracy on rabbits, usually 1/2 hidden in the grass, at that range does suffer.

Thanks duane. Thats what im finding with the judos, they whistle and warn the rabbits.
I was watching howies varmint buster preview, and he was shooting them at 55 yards. Must be a good shot. They dont seem to whistle.
I was also using field tips, with a little attachment (cant remember what its called) just under the arrow head. These were quieter and seemed to be better, problem is they dont pull the arrow up as well and i spend more time recovering arrows.

As said, try and avoid heads that whistle and also spend some money on some quality string silencers and maby even a stablizer.
