Thought i would post this here to. Went on the hunt after seeing Axe's pic and his bunnies.

Well after working today I thought I would take my new video camera down the creek and try and bust some bunnies. We had just had under 30 mil of rain so I thought the bunnies would be out. CouldnĂ*t believe it Rabbits everywhere only small but still good fun.
This bunny got shot through the chest but still managed to get too far down the hole (with my arrow) I set the camera up on him and stalked in a little closer the arrow is in flight just to the right of him. The shot was taken at 25m.

I gave this rabbit a shave from 50m i hunt this place a lot and i have marked out distances from the holes so i know how far. the second pic shows him having a look at what scared him sniffing the arrow.

This was another 50m shot. long range bunny shooting lol its good fun! second pic is 6 bunnies trying to fit down a hole at once with my arrow hitting just in front of them.

Oh and on the way home this little fella was on the road and i managed to run catch him.. after about 3mins of running in circles!

What do you other juniors use on the end of your sticks when shooting rabbits? I was useing gladiator broadheads but am up for any suggestions. Because all 3 made it down the hole again. Mozza is sending me some rabbit heads and there were some other good sugestions in the other thread.

Nice post macka,
for rabbits, i use these attachments, wich slot into the field tip. They are like realy sharp metal propellers. They will work pretty well. I haven't use them as yet.

Well went out again after school today. I pulled up at the gate and walked in closing the distance on the first lot of holes. There were three bunnies sitting on them and i managed to get the camera set up on them but with a fair bit of scrub in between. I drew back and let rip from 10m, a complete passthrough and the bunny went straight down the hole! mmmm well whatĂ*s new! this is the pic of the first rabbit the arrow is above him and you can just see his eye and body through the bush.

I then stalked in on the Next lot of holes and there were two rabbits sitting there, if only the angle was a little better i could have had both but from 20m i managed to pin the front one to the ground and actually get to pick this one up this time! This is them in the pic the arrow is above them because i am shooting down hill.

Well went out again after school with an hour of light left to try my luck on the rabbits again. This time i went the oposite way and all the rabbits seemed to be fawn coloured it was amazing. here is one that went down its hole before i got a shot.

And this bunny i shot through the shoulders as you can see in the seccond pic he didnt like it much but still made it back down the hole. he is a fawn colour to.

All i could see of this bunny was his head and with a field point managed to nail him through it! Afetr looking at the tape he ducked down before the arrow got there so it would have been neck if he diddnt move. The arrow is about a cm above the rabbits head whick is through the sticks just right of centre.

Shot this rabbit through the shoulders at 20m
First pic shows how he was sitting and seccond just after the arrow hits him.

I can't get over the colour difference between the rabbits up your way to the ones down the south here. Down here they are more grey then the light tan ones you have.
