hi, ive been looking at a few new hunting places but just dont have the time to go out and days trying to find out even if there is game in the area...so
im considering buying a game camera, but the ones that ive found so far have been pretty expensive and i dont need really good quality photos...
does anybody know of any really really cheap game cameras online or in any shop or even if u have one that your considering selling? it dosent have to be high quality or anything just looking for basic cheap stuff for now...
cheers
P.S. while im on the topic ive heard a few rumors about feral goats running around this little area not far from where i live only problem is the area is huge and 95% of it in pine plantations... now my question is are you allowed to set up a game camera in a pine plantation? im not planning on hunting there but if i can find the rough location of the goats i will approach some of the local farmers.. the camera will be far from the road probally just set up in some clearing so... legal or not???
thanks

Hey ET,
I have 2 Moultrie Game Spy 4.0 that i got from Cabelas 2 my door for around $120, They arnt to flashy but they do the job.
i use them mainly for hunting sambar but you pick up all sorts of animals on them and its a great bus picking them up and seeing what you got on film, Fox's Wombats, birds ect. they take 6 D-cell batterys that go flat after about a mounth of use and you need to pick up a 1gig mem card for about $20 from the shop before you can use them.
Hope i was of help, regards LT
Hears a pic off my cam i git last week.

At the deer hunting expo in Wodonga a few months back, they had a normal digital camera wired to a motion sencer... but i recon that would cost even more.

is there any major difference between the two or any others..? also how much would it cost to send it to aus?

G'day mate, the top link there is for a 35mm film camera. In this day and age i would stay well away from film for this type of thing. U still use 35mm film cameras for certain kinds of photography, but as far as game cameras go i would keep well away from it.
I just purchased a wildview extreme 2 game camera. Its a 2mp camera.
Here it is here http://www.nextag.com/Wildview-2-0-Megapixel-528604334/prices-html
I havnt had the chance to set it up out the bush yet, but have had a bit of a play, and it works. I havnt had a chance to really run it through its paces though. I payed a bit extra, and purchased it locally. I bought a rangefinder of cabelas last week, and they debited my credit card, and then told me they have none in stock. Im still waiting for them to credit the money back to my credit card!!!
