What kind of terrain are you hunting in?

Both goats and pigs will be up higher through the midday and low in the morning and arvo, i have been getting pigs from 5 in the arvo spread out through the foot of the hills in big mobs, goats will stay in the hills all day if they have water.
check your water supplies and good feeding grounds. if its cold you may find them sunning in the heat but if its still warm they may be in the shaded area.
This is just in my experience from the animals i shoot but goats can be quite dumb and are easy to get up on if they are quite, if they get shot at often i will be very difficult same as pigs but IMHO pigs have better senses but are sneaky and will lay and wait for you to move on unless they feel threatened in a big way.
Cheers SG.

One other thing goats have a good talent for being hit and still running a long way.

Just a general tip if you are hunting with someone else take a couple of handheld UHF radios with you, good for emergencies and also allows you to work a little bit apart from each other so you can cover more ground. It is good if you have the wind working along the ridge line as this means you can work one on each side of the ridge and still keep in touch
