Hi all, was wondering if anyone knows the rules and regulations/licenses for hunting in Canberra (State foresrt)? I have access to properties in NSW but those properties would be a three day task and i am looking for something close to home for a one to two day hunt.
I called the game council of NSW today as i thought ACT would come under NSW rules and reg's but the bloke told me that it did not and he could not help me with what happens in the ACT as he did not know?

Any help/info would be great.
Cheers guys.

Im not totally sure but i think the only place you can hunt in ACT is private properties mate.

Jimmbo,

I believe that Irish is correct on this one, unless there's crown land you can get permission for (unlikely).

Oh yeah, not to be facetious, but you avatar says “Canberra (the confused state?)”, sorry mate, but Canberra is in the ACT, which itself is a Territory….

Thanks for that James, happy to head to NSW but would be nice to have somewhere closer to home. No problem.

Ahhh, never thought of it (Canberra) like that tho, hence "confused". Changed it:P.

Get your R class license mate. You have a dozen state forests in NSW very close to ACT.Plenty of places to go hunting.
