What is the worst peice of archery equipment that you have owned? Something that has let you down and you will never touch again. Interesting on hearing people's experience and also to see what gear to stay away from.

for me i'd say redzone carbon arrows i bought 8 one day and by the end of that day i had 4, inferior glue used for the inserts so when i shot them it would push the insert up and slit the shaft.

for me cheap fibre glass arrows off ebay, was practising on my target out back, i normally check if my arrows are fine to shoot but these were brand new and i didnt bother, after my first round i drew my 40# silverhawk and release, as i released a big shard of shaft exposed and went straight through my hand :( from that day forward ive been checking my arrows pretty regulary :P
apart from that all the gear ive bought has been pretty good

yep,
bought some cheap arrows to muck around with, didn't know any better. grabbed em on the run and went hunting withem, BIG mistake. nocks went one way arrow the other. ok so i thought one arrow lost, try again still not thinking or checking, same same, now i have lost two good opportunities to get game and still not quite the wiser. went home disgusted with myself for not knowing any better, how soon we learn.....

easy - hip quiver.
getting a bow quiver was like being a born again bowhunter, after carrying that useless thing through scrub and climbing gorges etc for 2 years.

Yeah the are bad hey, and so expensive!
Australian Bushmaster Arrows are the worst to use. the aluminium is VERY soft and bends/dents easily. 8 new arrows, 20 shots later, 1 arrow. nocks shatter, shafts bend, inserts come out, vanes peel off in 3 shots. total waste of $70.
Me, myself. I am the worst peice of archery equipment i own. But i reckon i can fix it!!! I have missed quite a few good rabbit oppertunities because of this faulty peice of equipment. I have a couple of weeks of atfter the end of next week, so i might try and tune it!!!

Hi,
A NAP Quick tune 2000 paid like $150 for it and is a piece of s***. So hard to tune ended up buying a TR DZ like that one awesome drop away. Also just brought some Tuskers spirits to try. Wish I didnt now as so far spent 2 hrs sharping 1 broadhead still wont shave with it and before anyone says anything I' a Chef and have the best stone and steel sharpen all my knives like razors. They were so blunt and chipped when I received them new from shop. Shops answer to it was they come from factory like that. I will go back to G5 broadheads maybe dearer but sharp out of box and easy to sharpen.

The worst bit of archery equipment I have owned was a Martin Saber SE 70lb. I loved it until it snapped at full draw. I just about crapped myself every time the replacement bow was drawn so I sold it and have changed to bows that only have machined risers.

It was the first bow I got, it was a no name compound ($150.00), I thought it was great, but after shoot a good one I could not dump it fast enough. The next bit of rubish I got is similar model as Robvic, the "ME42" it is slow, can't shoot for "Sh*T" at times and stuffs up all the time, but I will keep trying to tune it
