Do they cover the whole thing of the gambrel?
I ordered the one for a full elk, and lend it to a mate when he home kills cattle for the deep freeze.
Its a bit of a stretch for a real big cow on the beef gambrel, but does the job.
Should be plenty big enough for a deer.
The Christmas ham bags Sparra metioned are very good too for carrying backstraps, boned out quarters and fillets in.
If you have two, and tie them together at the top, you can carry them like saddle bags. Works quite well.

Cool, sounds the trick.
I use pillow cases but want something to cover the whole thing.

I go to the after Xmas sales each year and buy a few double sheets. My wife sews the sides up (after folding them) and puts a hem in for a drawstring. You can fit a whole red in one with plenty of room to spare. Pillow cases work for when you bone them out in the field.
