Rabbits 101

[hunt or be hunted]

Yesterday i shot my 100th and 101st rabbits with my bow, its taken me a little over two years to get to the 100 mark and im not stopping here.

first one was from 22m, i was sitting down when i shot and hit him on top of his back with my home made blunt and he was down and out in no time. second one was a headshot from 20m, again with the same blunt and the rabbit hardly twitched.

sorry for the boring picture, i took it about 30minutes ago, i didnt have the camera with me on the hunt.

if they have a good skin i take it, then i either gut them and take the whole carcass home to sell as dog food or i cut off the back legs, back straps and get the kindeys and sometimes liver to feed to the ferrets. i rarely leave them unless i dont need them or they have mixo.

Can you cash in Rabbit skins? If so how much are they bringin in now and same with Foxes tails and their whole skin?

i can get $5 for a kilo of rabbit skins:o thats about 12 skins and IMO its not worth it so i dont bother. not sure about fox tails, i think you can cash in the skelps of them now?

nice work dan. Its no longer the fox tails that are up for sale but the scalp of a fox including ears. I think its something like $10 a scalp
