G'day guys,
I'm looking at making a longbow but first of all are there any good decent sites that teach you how to make longbows?

why don't you start off with a blank bought from a shop like 3 rivers Archery. Or I'm selling one including 9 arrows:D. Either way just google it.
check out the guys on ozbow theres stuff on there all the time
There are some good bow building articles on this site. Rancid Crabtree article is very good.

it requirs alot of patience my first 4 snapped in my face and my 5th is still goin but not real well so whatever you do dont expect sucess strate off as it is next to imposible to do it right the first time with out breaking a few and of course you learn from the ones you break so its all good in the end :)
cheers

My first selfbow in 1995 took me 44 hours , lasted 4 shots and ended up helping cook dinner that night . My second bow didn't last much longer either . Once you gain confidence and a little more knowledge you will be knocking selbows out in under a weekend . Good luck and don't push yourself - walk away if you lose track , clear your mind ask fella's like Glenn for help and come back to it . You wont go wrong .
regards Perry
