After seeing Jeffro's new hunting vehicle, I though it would be good to see what everyone uses or has used to go hunting.
This was my old Nissan, it took us boldly where no pretty 4wd would ever go.:P

Gee Rock Steady, looks like it should have a toothless guy playing banjo sitting on the bonnet ;)
I'm thinking about an upgrade.
From this:
http://photos-816.ll.facebook.com/photos-ll-sf2p/v233/120/102/647405816/n647405816_843854_2973.jpg
To this:
http://photos-816.ll.facebook.com/photos-ll-sf2p/v233/120/102/647405816/n647405816_843856_3548.jpg
but then I may have to dress like this extreme fisherman!
http://photos-816.ll.facebook.com/photos-ll-sf2p/v233/120/102/647405816/n647405816_843855_3257.jpg
or then I could resort to one of these:
http://photos-816.ll.facebook.com/photos-ll-sctm/v185/120/102/647405816/n647405816_653393_6606.jpg
But pulled by this bloke:
http://photos-816.ll.facebook.com/photos-ll-sctm/v185/120/102/647405816/n647405816_653394_6891.jpg
This bloke looks like he'd be a better goer:
http://photos-816.ll.facebook.com/photos-ll-sctm/v185/120/102/647405816/n647405816_653407_327.jpg
I reckon this bloke could do with one:
http://photos-816.ll.facebook.com/photos-ll-sctm/v185/120/102/647405816/n647405816_653413_2039.jpg
then again, this was fun:
http://photos-816.ll.facebook.com/photos-ll-sctm/v185/120/102/647405816/n647405816_653446_1776.jpg
Hmmm... then again, around here maybe one of these is the best bet.

97' RR SE 4.0,
Have been doing some work.
Custome Bull Bar (on order)
EAS emergency bypass kit
EAS onboard programmer (gives me the power to reset the height setting increasing my off road lift from 2'' above standard to 3'' (ish) above standard
New Alpine HU ida-001
Opend the exhaust up a little (coz its an 8 on petrol I may as well enjoy the sound of an 8)
GME TX3420 uhf
Future:
A set of 16inch rims on which a set MT's will go, around the 265/70 mark.
Driving lights and some utility lights for the rear.
I came close to building a safari roof rack for it over xmas (steel shop was closed) may have to wait and see.
Finaly when funds allow....
Custom lift kit from an outfitter in QLD that will give the car 5'' over all lift and an extra 3'' travel. includes bigger bags, bilstien shocks and blocks. All while being able to lower back down to a normal ride height for the daily use.
cheers
jim

Been their done that, last time that happened I was in a Landrover fitted with a Nissan diesel, ended up being towed out by a Landcruiser.:D Somewhere up the Cape just after the wet.
Its taken a lot of years but I have slowly converted most people I know to Toyotas:D, now to start working on Rick, a Nissan in the bush, whats he thinking, for a Nissan to have been able to tow you out it would have to been dropped in by a large chopper as it would never have made that far away from the Tare road.:P

Thought I was gonna have to pull the knob that had his new porche 911 (sp*) down on the beach with like next to no ground clearence but he got out ok:o
I have a few mods on the planning board.

Nah mate. I don't drink tea or coffee ;) As for the cruiser, not yet. This one does everything I ask, except for overtake quickly lol.
Thanks collins_123456789. They are D.ick Cepek DC-1 in a 16 x 8.

Hey don't expect the Cruiser to be great for overtaking either mate, unless your cashed up and can afford the new turbo 8. They go like showers of *****. Unlike my standard 4.2.
Have a bit of time on my hand (due to operation) This thread interests me as far as how people who actually travel to go hunting and what they travel in.
my 1997 2.8lt hilux with custom home made canopy which fits all the gear for my gulf and NT trips and has done for 7 years now.....love it
