Here is some from my last hunt.
The cave 1 has a boar holed up in it and the other with me drawing on him on top of a rock over looking the water hole. Couldn't get a good shot at him as to many over hanging pandanus leaves and he was not lieing right way. When we finally crossed water hole to get to him he was long gone. The other is off a scrub bull I passed up on, prefect oppurtunity but didnt want to waste the meat as too far to carry it out and no way too look after the meat. Maybe next time I will take him if I take some eskys with me.
just some photos from my last hunt

Ah yeah, i got my old man to draw n he's about 110-120kg, you can still see the major groups of muscles, not so many minor ones though... still looks pretty cool either way.
Awesome photos guys!
Chaos, that back one is one we've not seen before... very unique idea mate ;)

Good lookin' pic Al :)
A couple of questions -
1- what's the camo Sam's wearing.
2- what is that in his hand, it looks like it has wheels on it  :P
cheers,
Luke :)

Hi mate,
The camo is call Predator camo, Brown Deception. I had to order a size small for him. It's a tad big so he'll grow into it I'm sure. Here is the link;
http://www.predatorcamo.com/patterns.html
As for the wheels... does this look better...?

I'm glad he knows how to work them bows out!
Sweet mate, thanks.
I thought that's what it was.
He does handle that trad bow well :) but, I bet you made sure of that!

Here are some photos from my wife's first successful bowhunting trip to New Zealand. Seems the 'boys hunting trips' are now a thing of the past as Jo now has 'the dreaded bug'! The shot was at steep angle from 15 yards and the hind expired quick and peaceful, of course as always with sod's law, before rolling down the hill! I don't mind being part of a family where the wife brings home the meat... it is a family sport after all, and not too many ladies can say they are successful bowhunters!
The other photo shows my 5 year old boy getting introduced to his future... 'challenge'.
There are some other fantastic photos in this competition and we enjoy seeing them. There is a group coming from Norfolk Island to Wowan and then on to Longreach in July for a 15 day bowhunt - can't wait, especially if there is country like some in the photos!
Sorry about the size of these pics, can't fiqure out how to make them bigger and stay within the specs.

Stealth, theyre both great shots. Anyone thats tried to photograph deer will appreciate how hard you need to work to get a deer photo.
Today i photographed my first ever sambar deer. My wife has photographed them in the headlights, and spotlight before, but a daytime sambar photograph is a first for us. I was on my way to go hunting, and spotted this from the roadside. Unfortunatly it was on private property about 1km from where i went.

I never said where it was Rumpig...? :o The fact is it was 20 feet from my swag as I woke up in the camping ground at Cooinda (Kakadu), calling to his 4 other mates who had been running amok thru the campground overnight.
The croc is a 4 metre salty taken whilst I lay flat out on my guts on the bow of a charter boat I was fishing on, less than 10 feet away and the Jabiru was taken on the same billabong...no trick photography here!!

But here is 1 for all of you pig hunters to drool over. It was caught near Katherine ;) 1 of about 15 boars caught i was sent this photo by a mate who was there hopefully more photos to come next month. I will know full details on how they were caught. I know my mate hunts with a bow and also use dogs. I'm not sure on this guy. This area will be kept hush hush for now ;). Just say when I get more info some lucky member on here will get an offer that he or she will not be able to refuse.
