What tip design would be most resistant to buckling/bending but still be a useful stabbing tool?
Cheers.

Im Guessing Tapered
kinda like:

and probably to resist buckling, it would have to be a fairly steep taper.
i reckon a tanto design..

I thought that too but I've managed to buckle a stainless tanto. :(
Perhaps I should expand the question to include what the best material is for a stabbing weapon?
A solid trocar shape is what I'm thinking of trying, as the flat blades inherent weakness across the sides seems to be the fault.
Chisel pointed diamond.
Sag, what are you on mate?
Whatever it is keep taking it, very entertaining......

Haha.
Nothing, just keep busting knives.

Maybe you need to buy crowbars :)

Yeah, crows must have been bigger once upon a time. ;p
If you want to stab use a screw driver. A knife is for cutting.
If it must be a knife a covex grind imo would be the best. More meat on the blade.

i've been making knives for a few years now and i have found the best thing for making knives is chainsaw bars and mower blades

I got to say all the buckled blades are 440 SS and are designed for stabbing, like this one...

Maybe a different steel would help?
I'm thinking of grinding a trocar on to a sharpening steel, what metal are they generally made of?

Drop point into a convex edge.
