Luke bazook, love those trout photos. The saltwater fish photos are great too, but being a freshwater fisho, the freshwater photos appeal to me more, because i know the fish species better.

Here is my contribution for now. I have a squillion fish photos on my hard-drive in different unorganised folders and places on my disorganised computer!!lol

And this one, possibly one of the worst quality photos on my computer, but one of my favourites. Also the only photo i know that has my untattooed right arm in it!!lol
This is me, im my kayak, with a 55-60cm (6-7poundish) trout cod caught a few years ago. Trout cod are a totally protected and endangered species. Thanks to a restocking program, there is quite a few around here now, and early signs are that theyre breeding again which is fantastic.
I was absolutely chuffed to see this bloke come up beside the kayak after he almost pulled me out!!lol Feisty little buggers!!!

Yeh it was a nice fish, grimmo was well pleased with it. Took about 20min on 15kg I think from memory. I think it went 25kg. Grimmo has taken some massive Blues, all I managed that day was a stinking hammer head.:rolleyes:

With another storm brewing in the background, Burg holds up a might Murray Cod. Man, these things are born predators, not much bigger that the lure it tried to inhale. Photo taken with a good flow in the Severn River at Nundubbermere Falls, west of Stanthorpe, Queensland.

(The little guy was released immediately after the photo - of course :) )

Wow Johnno - thanks for making me your winner - Made my day!!!! I'm at home sitting at the puter doing a bit of work at the moment and I clicked the New Posts button while I was having a little break, so that is a very nice surprise.

Thanks for running the comp, I'm glad you made me dig through a few old pics, brought back a lot of good memories. As I am sure many others did the same thing. Good on ya mate, and thanks again.

PS: and SaberHunter - thanks, the weird light was the result of a fast approaching summer hailstorm, I think we made it back up the hill to the utes just time time, but then took a severe battering while four-wheel-driving out of there. Good times!

hey guys i know the comps over and all but i thaught id post theese. the large one is 72 centremetres and 9.5lb and the small one 64cm and 5.7lb both good fish i caught them yesterday with much difficulty as it was windy and spinners wouldnt cast and soft plastics werent working so i put on my trusty rapala rainbow trout lure and low and behold 2 WHOPPAS! took 20 mins to get the big one in on 2.5 lb mono line was good fun hopefully more to come.

ahhh here we go fellas some local rainbows. p.s my foot is a size 13 so you can imagine the size of these fish and i only use 2 pound line so it was a long fight for the big one about 20 min to get him in.
