A couple every year where we were :(

We had one guy a few years ago who got some tangled in his antlers and then got himself tangled in a tree. It was a sad thing :(
Dave (from Blackfoot camo) hunts there a couple of times a year and he got to rescue one a few years ago

I think it’s a shame when that happens it would be one of the worst ways to die. If you came across one that was still alive would you be abele to cut them out or would it be to dangerous?

I watched a clip on youtube the other day...A guy in the states shot an 18 pointer that was draggin a dead 10 pointer around with him...had their antlers tangled....would've been a bad way to go also.

It would be a terrible way to die. And i would think it would be dangerous to try and release one.

We say it's terrible but even worse than that is African game getting pinned by a lion whilst the rest of the pride eats it alive...

RazorX

Yeah TD you could cut them out but they would be pretty distressed and you would have to watch that they didn't swipe you with their antlers!

I have an pic of a goat with reasonable horns that fell out of a tree and got stuck hanging by his horns, his feet just would have touched the ground. The foxes and pigs just ate as far up as they could reach. Bugger that for a way to go.

Joke or not, every time we write something like that we give ammo to the antis.
Think I am imagining it? Check out this and look at where they get their quotes from.....yep, bowhunters themselves

Didnt work for me jindy.I have seen forums like the veagan forum just for a laugh, but its no laughing matter when they would rather see hunters shoot each other than harm defenceless animal. In my opinion they are the biggest bunch of hypocrits in the world. They preach about not harming animals and being friendly to our enviroment.BUT they all live in houses that use electricity and im bloody sure they drive cars that use fuel.If they dont they all jump in a tin doggy and go to protests which must be like 20 cars in one hit.Bloody hypocrits.I saw an avatar the other day that explained it well for me.It says, for every animal you dont eat im going to eat three.

Remove the < and > and it will work (should)

I am going to go out and have a hunt for World Environment day this w/e. The day is on Thursday, i will have to try and get a fox or two on the day if I can manage it, if not I will have to stick to my mynas :)

Yes, the Qld vegan society had a thread last year where people were cheering because a hunter fell from a tree stand and died. It showed very well the contempt they hold for others.
These guys had the same thing and also deleted the thread because it had people cheering over the death of a hunter
<http://www.animalsuffering.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4538>

Here is a page that shows they are not all hopeless at least

Yep,that worked jindy.

These people cheering for fallen hunters are mentally unstable and have no sence of reality. If the country/world ever went wrong and society crumbles it is these types who will be cowering in there houses waiting for help and food. And maybe natural selection might weed the world of all the weak pricks who dont feel we should be hunting like our ancesters did before us.Imagine how far cave people would have got if they decided they wouldnt hunt and just eat plants and bugs.I would love to take them out bush and see how long they would last with bugger all.I reckon i would loose some weight but i wouldnt die of starvation.

Vegan is a lifestyle choice that is only able to be lived in today's day and age. People should respect other's rights to eat meat. If they were alive in the days of "hunters and gatherers" then they would be as good as dead...

Eating grass just wouldn't cut it, unless they were a Giraff...

Why don't hunters band together and try and get Vegan'ism' or whatever it's called banned?

As humans we are designed to be omnivorous, not simply herbivores. We eat meat for a reason.

I personally think Vegans are missing out on many culinary delights, and for that I thank them for leaving more for the 'rest' of us :)

Not far at all Luke
The deer getting caught in the wire is a good example of one of the many deaths waiting for animals out there in the big bad woods. We are told by the vegan/anti-hunting crowd that what we do is cruel and this thread shows that hunting is a long way behind all the other possible deaths waiting out there. Not many animals die in their sleep from old age ;)

This deer was killed by wild dogs, another example of how life sucks for wild animals

I Dont care what anyone else does or does not eat.
I also dont care if they do or do not hunt.
My only rule is if you leave me alone I will leave you alone.
My step son has a friend that is a Vegan. She came to stay with us a few weeks back. She did not come right out and say to my face that hunting is wrong but she did it in so many subtle ways that it pi$$ed me off.
I however got the last word just before she left for the airport.:P
I do not think that she will ever be staying with us again...
