Just wanting to know what you guys think is the best bow for a beginner aged 11?we have looked on cabelas and found some nice fred bear and other combo sets for under $100.He would prefer a compound. What have you guys bought for your kids and how have they performed?..Thanks...Damo
My young bloke's got a Micro midas and it's great for him.
LOTS of adjustment options and pretty sturdy too.
They are not real cheap brand new and go like hot cakes second hand.
A good buy for a junior in my opinion as it can grow with him (reminds me I have to go lengthen the draw ;) ).
cheers,
Luke

Thanks for the info guys.what price are we looking at?
The M M 4 was over the $350 mark (from memory but could be wrong).
I got lucky and picked Taylor's up for $200 with a rest and a doz arrows.
For mine at that price it is outstanding value, at $350 though... not so sure ;)
cheers,
Luke

i started off with a perfectline 20lb compound, i paid $175 and you get half a dozen arrows, target face and a finger tab. not a bad beginners bow, i nailed my first 10 bunnys with that bow.
thanks dan.

my younger brother bought a Micro Midas 4 for $350. We chose that becasue of the mass amount of adjustments. been shootin that for about 2 years.

Either of these will work well just depends on which fits your sons needs the best...

We have the Micro Midas at $330. We also do a package which is outstanding value for $499 which is the Diamond Edge. It has the same adjustability as the Midas, but is by Bowtech and comes with a prong rest, bow sling, 3 pin Cobra fibre optic sight, 2 peice diamond quiver and a peep sight.
