It's a sad day!!!!!!

[Bo-Hunta]

It's a sad day today, as I have just gotten off the phone organising the last hunt I will have with a trusted old mate!!!!:(:(:(

I first got my hands on my High Country Excalibur when i was 17 (11 years ago). Since then the old girl has gone through many transformations, countless sights, rests, release aids, finger tabs, and the huge overdraw that got some attention in another post, she has shot nearly every arrow combination i can think of.

She is on her 4th set of limbs, the origional recurve limbs had a tendancy to spilt, so 2 sets latter went to a machined supreme stragiht limb, that went sweet untill i took a bad fall and split the top limb, after that she got the 80lb limbs she wear to this day.

Over the years we have taken over a dozen species, hopefully next week we might add another couple, a buff and a scrubby bull would see a fitting end.

All is not lost though, my gorgous wife is brining me back a new toy when she gets back from a working holiday in Alaska in 3 weeks, a new Mathews Dren!!!!!:D:D:D

Hope you enjoy the variety of game in the pics, hopefully i can repeat all of this and maybe more when the dren truns up. The next ones on the list though are deer (any), beff, scrubby and a camel.

**** those pics bring back some memories, I had forgotten about that cat and the goat and to think I took most of those pics. Remember when I split my head open on the towbar of your surf and when me met the farmer I told him you beat me up..I remember the first pig that bow took and will probably see the last it takes next week. more than that I have watched you grow up into a pretty good fella and a bloody good hunter. Will be good to catch up again.
