just wanting to know if anyone is seeing any baby rabbits getting about? i saw one a couple of weeks ago but thats it. reason for this question is that i am wondering if the hunting pressure on the rabbits here have stopped them from breeding.

Mate I would doubt that any animal would stop breeding due to hunting pressure. Especially rabbits... a litter every 28 days! There ain't no pressure gonna stop them randy little beggers :D

28days!!! That is nuts.

Apparently hunting does very little to rabbit population, they are there for sport, but not so much for control measures(compared to hunting of other animals where it is felt). That disease they introduced had the biggest impact didnt it. 500million down to 200 million or something??

Rabbit numbers here dropped a few years ago mainly due to the drought,but in the last 2 years they have come back and are out in numbers.

ye dan i sen a couple and i pretty much shot that bunny last week, he wasnt a big bunny.

i reckon a couple more weeks and there'l be more out.

tell that to my pet rabbits...:( stupid things are copletely hopeless wen i comes to breeding...3 of them were at it a few days ago however....but their all males...???

I went out ferreting last weekend saw a stack of the little buggers running around. My male grabbed a hold of one a few feet from the hole that was the end of that.
