After about 12 months out of the 'system'...I have braved the return to shooting a compound again...

The shoulder is not 100%, but it feels better than it has in a looooong time. I guess those rehab excercises did help.

I pick the new bow up on Saturday, Sunday - all day fine tuning and Monday.....;)

Whos coming?...................

A Reflex Growler Dave. One of the nicest (and cheapest!) bows I have shot...

My brother has a Trykon, they near shoot identical.

I shot a Mathews Switchback and the reflex and chose the flex'.... value for money can not be beat - especially for a hunting bow.

Dazza, not sure if the same for your sightings, but majority this end have been sighted around 10am....edge of timber - and low....I have not encountered this before...always bedded and in gullies usually by this time...

25 meters is about the norm. Next time, I will have a bow in hand.

its debatable

PAT, let us know how the Airborne goes...

Dave,
Mathews is to Mission,
Hoyt is to Reflex,
Bowtech is to Diamond...

At the end of the day, for 'hunting', they will all kill a deer and equally as well as the other, no better or worse. Discussion foddder, yes...debatable, no.

Still, I looked at the DXT and it was nice! Remember, just because I may drive a ford xr6, doesnt mean I dont have a Porsche 911 in the shed... ;)

Just spoke to the property owner and he has sighted a stag the last few days coming down onto one of his house paddocks. I cant wait to check it out.

Seriously, without giving away too much info, what area roughly are you heading? PM me if you dont want to say here.

I'll PM you mate, I dont mind sharing spots. If you go there with a bow and take one, then you ahve earned it!

Okay, it is going to be a good year. 5 new properties (I have been working overtime on buying people a lot of beers at the pub), no doggers, well used wallows and now placing 6 arrows in a 6" group at 40 meters.

There is a LOT of deer around guys, get out and go for a walk!

I have the next 3 weeks off...as of Thursday.

Now wheres that swag.... ;)
