Well all started after a call last night and we had planned for about a 10am start for today we got the place about 11 and noticed some goats moving off over a hill. We parked the car further down and walked back into the STEEP hills looking for them. After a fair hike we found them again and managed to get above them and had them walk right to us. There was a nice Billy in the mob but the young ones came within 10m so i dropped a young Billy then the second young Billy stuck around too long and i dropped him from 25m.

We got it on camera and looks great. We found another lot of goats but they got our wind and bolted. But on our way back we heard a bleat and sure enough there were more goats above us so we backtracked a bit and managed to get within 3m of a brown nanny and Jamie nailed her through the shoulder but we could not find her in the thick scrub. He then had time to drop another nice skinned nanny.

On the walk back i made another stalk on 3 billies but missjudged my stalk and came out too far down from them and they just sat there looning at me from 50m. But a little further down the hill i came across a long nanny and shot her on camera from 10m.

We saw some nice ones but didnĂ*t get any trophies. Did the property owners a favour and it was good fun to boot so overall a good day

Jamie is a relation of mine. The one responsible for getting me into bowhunting!
