Just arrived back in Townsville on Easter Sunday after my second hunt with Mick at Trophy Bowhunts Australia's chital deer property. Had an excellent time, hunting was brilliant yet again. Saw some excellent heads up to 32 inches and the number and quality of game was outstanding as usual. Spent all the five days hunting Chital and took one on the last afternoon. The last morning we went for a quick look for a hog but didn't run into any.

Over the five days I was able to stalk into under 20 m on several occasions but circumstance (Murphys Law) prevailed. Also had an excellent opportunity in a tree stand on day two when a huge Stag (Approx 30 inches) passed at 12 m.......Whilst taking aim I needed to turn my body to follow him and a piece of grit on my shoe dragged on the platform and the Stag bolted. Murphy had struck again.( :shock: :shock: )

Hope to submit story to Cashy's Mag in the next couple of months...

I wish to thank Mick on a brilliant trip and will be looking to do a Cape trip next year...
