Hey guys,
Went for a bit of a meander with the ol' trusty today to check out a new area for some pigs and goats. I am planning to use the mountain bike to cover a long firetrail network to cut some time and get me deeper into the area, so no suprise that by hiking in today, I didn't see any pigs or goats. I did however see many a rabbit! It will make excellent hunting when the weather warms and an arrow or 5 can be sent flying towards a tiny furry target. I had a few shots at them on the run, but no success. There were plenty of rotten stumps to keep the senses sharp and spirits high.
Whilst I was walking, I came accross some beautiful boulders and thought I would take a few photos of my Predator recurve bow. Here they are:
Me at full draw on a running rabbit (The little guy was about 1m from his burrow which dissapeared into the crevices of some large boulders).

The bow, quiver and a few random arrows resting against a boulder covered in a brilliant green moss.

The bow is 52# @ 28.5'' and 60'' AMO. Not exactly "Buff Tuff" at the moment, but enough for pigs, goats and fallow deer. I will be fitting a pair of 60 - 62# @28'' limbs to it for hunting Buffalo, larger deer and game species. But at the moment, I'm quite content to just meander with the bow in hand, even if I only end up shooting a few stumps for the day.
