carbon arrows and myths

I have heard many rumors about carbon arrows including they break easy and if they split and you get the splinters in your blood it will kill you is it true.

I have no idea whether they break easy, but carbon fibre can be dangerous. But don't let it scare you, it is no more dangerous than fibreglass, and we don't think twice when we put pink batts in our roof. It could be a real problem if you were to spear your hand with it (or eat slivers in game where an arrow shatered) because it isn't detectable by x-ray and removing big peices from your body could be next to imposible.

yeah they can shatter and splinter but a good way to thest if they are cracked is every now and then slightly bend the arrow if you hear a cracking noise throw that arrow away it is a accident waiting to happen. but carbons these days are pretty strong so you should be alright.
