Top dog down!

Moz and I went for a whistle this arvo, was good to be out in the winter sun:)

After a couple of failed stands, we bumped into a couple of red-coats that were hovering around our whistling, and intelligently staying out of bow range.

Over the hill we went, and now well into that hour or so when you just know there's a dog out lookin' for a feed we perched up on the edge of a finger of scrub.

I was on camera/predator call duty, with Moz ahead, with his DXT/Axis/Blackstump trio ready for action.;)

After only about 10 seconds of me 'going off' with the call I noticed Moz draw and loose and arrow angling downwards, with that 'known' 'whump' sound following immediately.

Tail went limp, reynard slumped, Moz smiled, I was zooming in wildly...

Tail rises, legs move, Moz re-nocks, I can't beleive it, DOG IS OFF! LOL

After a memorable chase down Moz put an arra through this guy and secured his first fox in ages!

your deffently right there rory, you are better shootin then filming hahaha :P, but that is a nice fox mozza, buy the look of the size of his head he's almost a small wild dog size, and is in great nic by the look of his coat and bushy tail, did u cap him? please tell me that you at least took his head to boil up. any how great little story and pic ;) :)

Yep took his tail for some 'clothes' we are making, and we have boiled him up and he will hopefully go roughly near the 10 4/16 douglas points that we have measured him at :)
