Hunt with Questions

went out into the BIG thick scrubby hills of the flinders again for a hunt. This time i hunted a bit different area to last time and took a mate with me. We had the same big climb up a massive ridge to get into the valley over the back. We got to the top and saw a few nannies but no billies yet.

We glassed over a lot of nannies and kids and finally found a few billies. Simon nailed a twisty horned white one from 35m while i was right behind him on the video camera.

after a bit more walking around we found a couple more billies and i shot a young one with a magnus snuffer ss that i was trying out. I hit him low through the heart and he only made it about 30m

We got rained on throughout the day and the wind was so cold simon was joking about hypothermia. there was a chance of 20ml of rain and snow on the high peaks of the flinders today. It was the last day i could get out for the next week and a bit so i was glad i went in the end.

We shot another nanny each trying out a couple other heads and it was a good day.

Damo, your right about the climb. We had to get up that hill in the first pic to get over into the valley out the back a few rests on the way up that bugger.

Dan, not real sure somewhere in the mid to high 20's he wasn't real wide just twisty. Some great footage of him getting shot.
