me and dad went on a hunt out to Cunnumulla for a goat hunt about a week ago. On the first day we saw nearly nothing a part from 5 red kangaroos and 2 nannies and about a 80pnt billy.so we went to the hotel dissapointed.
The second day was our last so we tried to make the most of the day. we went for a walk up the creek line were we spotted 2 pigs surrounded by tree roots. i offered dad the stalk so of he went. it was easy going cause the pigs couldnt see anything and they were asleep. dad got about 5 meters from the pigs but it was differcould to find a openning. but there was a open about 20cm wide and was straight on his chest, so dad took the shot and both pigs ran out sreaming but dads pig dropped within 10m.
we saw nothing for the rest of the day apart from a mob of pig. but then on the way of the property. there was a mob of about 10 goats so i got the bow ready and hopped out of the car. i started to stalk in although the mob saw the car and in turn saw me. although luck was on my side and about another 100m up there was another mob of goats. i ran up behind a tree and the goats fead out in to the open. i crawled in about 5m behind some small shrubs. a few nannies saw me so it was a waiting game for a while but after awill they looked away. ther wasnt any big goats in the mob so i chose a nice nanie for meat. it was about 20m out so i put my 20m pin on its vitals to hear to all knowing thude. it was a little far back and the mob walked across the road. the nanny was under a tree so i went in and shot the nanny again and she died in seconds. we had some nice meat for awill so we went back to the hotel.
